Contract Legalities| GET-A-SITE CLASSIFIED WEB SITES: The purchase of a "classified" (or "non-maintained") web site from GET-A-SITE Internet Architects is the same as the purchase of advertising space in any traditional print medium (such as a newspaper, magazine, or a directory like the yellow pages). The client who purchases such a web site is NOT buying the site and can not lay claim to "ownership" of that site once it is developed and published on the Internet. The client is only paying GET-A-SITE the cost to "lay out" the design of the advertisement and host that advertisement for the period of the length of the advertising contract, generally one year. This plan affords small businesses the opportunity to assume a presence on the Internet, and permits GET-A-SITE to keep design and advertising costs to a minimum. Hence the affordable pricing range for such "classified" web sites (ranging from $100 to $300 for construction, and $90 for a minimum three month hosting contract). Once a "classified" web site contract expires, the client may choose to renew the advertising contract, or elect to terminate the advertisement. If a client elects to renew the advertisement, a new contract will be drawn up for the desired advertising period (3 months is the minimum). If the later is preferred, GET-A-SITE will withdraw the published "classified" web site from the Internet and destroy all documents pertaining to the advertisement. GET-A-SITE retains, at all times, copyrights to "classified" web site advertisements. |
| GET-A-SITE MAINTAINED WEB SITES: The purchase of a "maintained" business account web site from GET-A-SITE Internet Architects is the same as the purchase of advertising space in any traditional print medium (such as a newspaper, magazine, or a directory like the yellow pages). The client who purchases such a web site is NOT buying the site and can not lay claim to "ownership" of that site once it is developed and published on the Internet. The client is only paying GET-A-SITE the cost to "lay out" the design of the website, the cost to host that web site for the period of the length of the advertising contract, generally one year, and the cost to maintain that web site (making such changes as price updates, etc.) for the period of the web site contract. This plan affords small businesses the opportunity to assume a presence on the Internet, and permits GET-A-SITE to keep design and advertising costs to a minimum. Hence the affordable pricing range for such "maintained" web sites (ranging from $500 to $1200 for construction; and approximately $270 to $840 for six, nine, and twelve month hosting & maintenance contracts). Once a "maintained" web site contract expires, the client may choose to renew the web site contract, or elect to terminate the web site. If a client elects to renew the web site, a new contract will be drawn up for the desired advertising period (1 year is the preferred minimum). If the later is preferred, GET-A-SITE will withdraw the published "maintained" web site from the Internet and destroy all documents pertaining to the web site. GET-A-SITE retains, at all times, copyrights to "maintained" web site business accounts. |
| GET-A-SITE CUSTOM DESIGNED WEB SITES, LOGOS and GRAPHICS: The contracting of services from GET-A-SITE Internet Architects by a client for a custom designed web site, logo or graphic constitutes the "sale" of that web site or those graphics designs to that client. Once payment for such services is rendered, the client then "owns" that design. GET-A-SITE only requests that the company's design mark ( "Site Design by GET-A-SITE" or "Graphic Design by GET-A-SITE" ) remain with and be "published" with the design in whatever form the client then uses that design (on the Internet at a web site, on company stationary, brochures, marketing materials, etc.). |
